Exam hall identity and attendance

What we built

• —Admit card barcode scanning that brings up the candidate record on the invigilator's tablet
• —Face match against the enrolled photograph with a liveness check, so a photograph of a photograph does not pass
• —Attendance marked digitally at the point of verification, signed by both invigilator and candidate
• —Answer booklet number captured and tied to the candidate before the paper starts
• —Mismatches and tampered admit cards flagged for the invigilator rather than acted on automatically
• —A control room view showing hall by hall progress while the session is running

What it showed

The proof of concept took verification from a minute or two of manual checking down to a few seconds per candidate, kept a clean digital attendance record with no re entry afterwards, and surfaced mismatches to a human instead of blocking anyone by itself.

What a live engagement needs

A live rollout needs the enrolled photograph set, a written policy on what happens when a match fails, a manual override path that always exists, and agreement on how long biometric data is retained and who may see it.
