Artificial intelligence

Private AI infrastructure

There are two reasons companies move AI in house. The data cannot leave, or the monthly token bill has quietly become a salary. Desktop class AI machines now run capable open models in a corner of your server room, and the arithmetic changed with them.

Who this is for

  • Hospitals, banks, law firms and public bodies where patient or client data cannot leave the premises
  • Companies with steady, predictable AI volume whose API invoice keeps climbing
  • Teams under data residency rules that a public endpoint cannot satisfy
  • Anyone who wants to fine tune on their own material without shipping it to a vendor

What we actually do

  • Sizing first, based on the models you actually intend to run and the number of people using them
  • Hardware two ways. We supply and configure a DGX Spark class desktop system or a rack build, or you procure a comparable system from the market and we take over everything above the metal
  • Model selection and quantisation, so an open model fits the memory you have without falling apart
  • Inference serving, batching and monitoring, tuned for concurrent users rather than one demo
  • Retrieval over your own documents, with permissions carried through so people only see what they should
  • Access control, request logging, backup and a recovery plan, because this becomes production the day it works
  • Ongoing support: model updates, capacity reviews and patching, under the same managed contract as the rest of your estate

How an engagement runs

A short assessment that ends in a written comparison: the hardware and running cost against your current or projected API spend, with a payback period. Sometimes the honest answer is that a public API is still cheaper for your volume, and we say so. When it is not, we quote the build, install it and hand it over running.
